TANGLED PARTY.

I never was a girlie girl, but I LOVE that we have a pink princess to shower in all things princess. I loved doing my first princess party.

Reagan is obsessed with Tangled since she got a little Rapunzel figurine this past summer.

Cupcakes & Rascal Party Blowers
I can never make frosting taste good-I truly believe you have to have a magical touch. For this party I bought purple icing so I didn't even have to mess with coloring. I will blame the fact that this is a January party and I am still recovering from the holidays. Seriously though store bought icing is a real time saver and people always ask if I made it.
The Rapunzel Cupcake Toppers I found at Dollar Tree. They come with other princesses so there were only 8 Rapunzels per pack.

The Pascal Party Blowers I copied from Disney Family. They have instructions and a template to make it easy. Instead of craft foam, I bought a green posterboard and hot glued the faces together. They were a small thing but the kids absolutely loved them! Luckily I accidentally got blowers that didn't make noise, but I was grateful once everyone was blowing on them.

Games

We got all tangled in Rapunzel's hair. I bought a few yellow streamers for the kids to wrap each other in. The streamers are very long so preroll the amount you want for each kid. At the beginning none of the kids wanted to be wrapped so parents got all tangled in hair. Afterwards they realized how fun it was and got tangled too.

Next we played hide and seek with Pascal. I had printed and glued a 3-D paper craft of Pascal from Disney Family. It was fun putting together and Reagan carried it around for days after the party.

Lastly we hit a Flynn Rider piñata with a frying pan. I simply put treats in a cereal box, covered it with white paper and glued a Wanted Sign of Flynn Rider on the front. I strung rope, through holes I made in the side, to have a way to hang it. My husband and I had a beat going as he had his doubts of my "piñata". Sadly I must confess he was right. My "piñata" was not breakable. After my husband attacked the cereal box with a knife the kids were able to hit it apart. So before covering the cereal box weaken it.

Decorations
The decorations were a little different than the usual which made this extra fun. Sadly I didn't take a great picture of the "hair" but it looked great. My husband and I just went down our hallway draping it from one place to the next twisting just a few times to give it some dimension. We did 8 strands back and forth to make it look like hair. I found a free printable for the Tangled Lantern Lamp and this Tangled Banner. I quickly made the BEST DAY EVER! sign to have on the table. Free to download at the bottom of the page.

The grand decoration were the lanterns. We used two strands of christmas lights, a purple plastic tablecloth, yellow paper, and packing tape. First, we taped the Christmas lights to the wall. We started taping them back and worth and made it wider as we went up. Just start taping them to the wall and re-adjust as needed. Second, we taped the tablecloth overtop of the lights. Third, we cut different size rectangles out of yellow paper and started taping them overtop of where the lights were. This made a great backdrop for birthday pictures and was a magical surprise when Reagan woke up at 4am on her birthday. It was hard to get her back to bed she was so ecstatic.
