Henline Falls Hike

Length: 1.8 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 200 feet
Difficulty: Easy

Head up Henline Falls Trial #3348. At the fork in the trail keep left. You will reach the old trailhead sign for Henline Falls Trail. The wide trail narrows as you get closer to the falls. You will have to climb over the remains of an old power plant and work your way to the bottom of the waterfall.

Stand at the bottom of the falls and stand in awe. If you are feeling a little crazy, get your feet wet. The best view of this 125 foot waterfall is across the river down from the logjam. I loved scrambling along the rocks and exploring down stream.

To the right of the falls is an entrance to an old mine shaft. You can venture in a little way before you get to a gate. It is pretty dark so bring a flashlight to see deeper into the shaft.

This is the perfect hike for the whole family. The hike itself is pretty easy and at the very beginning is a very wide trail. The kids loved hanging around the falls-dipping their feet in the water and of course throwing rocks.

Bonus: There is a swimming area just a few minutes from the trailhead. For more information click - Three Pools Day Use Area.
